HIKE SCHOLARS has been designed to change lives generationaly through education by providing at-risk twin cities children with
the Hope, Inspiration, Knowledge and Education they will need to make it through the key educational transition points between
elementary, middle, high school and college.
In 2006, the HIKE Foundation began a twelve year investment of over $450,000 in the lives of first thru fourth grade HIKE SCHOLARS
by providing social reinforcement and interactive educational programs; instilling in each HIKE SCHOLAR the dream of higher of
education.
By 2011, all of the HIKE SCHOLARS will have made the key transition from elementary to middle school. During that time the HIKE
Foundation will continue their investment in the lives of the HIKE SCHOLARS by providing social reinforcement, interactive
educational programs and educational assistance.
In 2014, the youngest of the HIKE SCHOLARS will have made the transition from middle to high school. As the SCHOLARS enter
this critical time in their lives, the HIKE Foundation's investment begins to include age appropriate employment programs and
life skills mentoring; ensuring that each HIKE Scholar will be properly prepared for higher education.
